How to use a QA roadmap

Each roadmap is split into stages, and each stage lists the topics to learn in order. Open a roadmap, study a topic, practice it, then mark it as learned. When you are signed in your progress is saved, so the roadmap shows the next topic the next time you come back.

Which roadmap should you start with?

  • New to automation: start with Manual to Automation. It keeps your test design skills and adds code step by step.
  • Testing web apps: Playwright Automation covers setup, stable locators and a maintainable framework. Selenium Automation suits teams that already use WebDriver.
  • Working with services: API Testing goes from HTTP basics to automated API suites.
  • Already automating: the AI-Powered QA roadmap shows where AI tools help with test design and review, and where they need human checking.

Tips for finishing a roadmap

  • Do one topic at a time and write a small test for it before moving on.
  • Mark a topic as learned only when you could explain it in an interview.
  • Use a skill assessment at the end of a stage to check what stuck.
