Appium 2 iOS gestures failing after W3C actions migration

Question

Upgraded to Appium 2 + XCUITest driver 5. Old TouchAction swipe code throws deprecation and my new W3C pointer sequence just does nothing on iOS 17. Android works. What does a reliable swipe look like now?

On iOS with XCUITest 5, drop custom pointer sequences for common gestures - the mobile: swipe / mobile: dragFromToForDuration execute-script commands are far more reliable. If you really need W3C pointer, remember to include pointerMove + pointerDown + pause + pointerMove + pointerUp with real durations; iOS ignores 0ms pauses.
